FCS Extension History 1914-2014
In our ever changing world, celebrating the 100th birthday of an individual is becoming more common. However, celebrating the 100th anniversary of an organization or institution occurs less often. Few organizations remain vital and relevant for 100 years in today's fast paced world. The fact that Family and Consumer Sciences Extension reached this centennial milestone in 2014 speaks volumes about its vitality and relevance. Key to maintaining both have been the leaders of our organization--our county agents, program assistants, state specialists, faculty and administrators. Our mission of improving individual and family life across the lifespan has remained our focus over the last century.
