ABOUT US
MoneyWi$e began in 2010 though the Managing in Tough Times Initiative established by the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the University of Kentucky. The initiative was designed to assist Kentuckians who were financially impacted by the Great Recession of 2007-2009. The mission of MoneyWi$e is to improve the economic well-being of individuals, families, and communities across Kentucky, and to promote personal and family financial literacy.
For the past 10 years, the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service has continued its commitment to strengthening the financial well-being of Kentuckians through MoneyWi$e. As the events of 2020 have left people across the Commonwealth once again wondering how to manage and recover from tough financial times, we are here to help.
Family and Consumer Sciences Extension at the University of Kentucky delivers programs focusing on nutrition, health, resource management, family development, and civic engagement. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram @ukfcsext or contact your local extension agent for Family and Consumer Sciences. We build strong families. We build Kentucky. It starts with us.
